WHEN DOES THE INTIMACY DIRECTOR BECOME INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION?
Ideally the intimacy director meets with the director and the stage manager before rehearsals begin. This allows for pre-production planning and discussions relating to the style of the work and the director’s vision.
Will a intimacy director or coordinator inhibit creativity?
Rather than inhibit creativity, an intimacy director will establish a safe and secure environment where performers are able create their most imaginative work.
DOES THE INTIMACY DIRECTOR NEED TO ATTEND ALL REHEARSALS?
No, the intimacy director is only required to attend rehearsals involving intimacy or hyper exposure. of course this includes tech and dress rehearsals.
